ttmmh: getting back into it. I started running at the start of this month, and am slowly getting back into it. I’m using intervals because I a) am about 40lbs overweight and b) don’t want to make the mistake that so many make by doing too much, too soon. It’s nice to see a marked improvement in pace times, especially considering I’m walking 1/4 of the time right now (at the low end of the scale it was 1/2). I always find week 3 & 4 are the hardest, and so far it’s been pretty great. The weight’s coming off again, and I’m really enjoying running every other day. Looking forward to Around the Bay in March; it’s going to be fun getting there.

ttmmh: meg. she’s 13. she is attitude defined. she pushes. she challenges. she fights. she’s loud. she’s argumentative. she writes us essays when she thinks we’re wrong. she does not like being told what to do, and is not afraid to tell you.
she’s funny. she’s smart. she’s driven. she can dance (holy crap can she dance). she’s got a heart of gold. she’s amazing. she’s a huge part of my life, and I am unbelievably lucky.
no one’s going to push Meg around, and the world is hers. I cannot tell you how much she has taught me, and has made my life so much more than it was.
thanks, baby girl. :)

ttmmh: summer colors. Veggies, before they get some balsamic vinegar & olive oil and are fired on the grill are gorgeous. They are equally gorgeous after, and tasty, too.

doing it myself. although it almost always takes 6x longer than I think it will, I love being able to fix what’s broken. today’s project was the garage door (success!)

My wife, who picks me up every time, loves me unequivocally, and has turned my life into something wonderful (which is sometimes hard to tell from what I post).
